People’s Cinema-Going Habits Nowadays

  1. Do you think the cinema has increased or decreased in popularity in recent years?

I believe cinema has decreased in popularity due to the rise of streaming services. Many people prefer watching movies at home for convenience and comfort, especially with the availability of high-quality content online.

  2. In your opinion, will this trend continue into the future?

I think this trend may continue, but cinemas will adapt by offering unique experiences, such as luxury seating and interactive screenings, to attract audiences back. There will always be a segment of the population that enjoys the cinema experience, especially for blockbuster releases.

Making a Film or TV Drama of Real/Fictional Events

  1. What are the advantages and disadvantages of making films of real-life events?

The advantage is that it can raise awareness about important historical events or social issues. However, the disadvantage is that it may lead to inaccuracies or dramatizations that distort the truth, potentially misleading audiences.

  2. How important do you think it is for a filmmaker to remain true to the original story?

It’s very important for filmmakers to remain true to the original story, especially when dealing with real-life events. Staying faithful to the facts ensures respect for the individuals and situations involved and provides an authentic narrative for viewers.

Censorship and the Freedom of the Filmmaker/TV Producer

  1. Should films and television be censored, or should we be free to choose what we see?

I believe there should be some level of censorship, especially to protect vulnerable audiences from harmful content. However, individuals should ultimately have the freedom to choose what they want to watch.

  2. How do you think censorship laws will change in the next 20 years?

I think censorship laws will become more flexible, adapting to technological advancements and changing societal values. There may be a greater emphasis on self-regulation by content creators and platforms, allowing audiences to have more control over their viewing experiences.
